Their wedding will take place aboard the luxurious Canyon Princess, a new 96-foot yacht-style tour boat on Lake Powell, located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Hillary and Jeffery met through the online dating network eHarmony.com and went on their first date on May 19. The Colorado couple decided to enter Lake Powell’s dream wedding contest so they would have the opportunity to combine the celebration of their wedding and first date. “The Canyon Princess is an ideal location for a beautiful destination dream wedding especially when combined with Lake Powell’s miles of spectacular shoreline, towering red rock sandstone cliffs, 90 major canyons, brilliant blue-green water and beautiful sandy beaches,” said Cathy McKeever, director of sales and marketing, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas. The wedding includes: a four hour reception including a sit-down dinner for 50 guests served aboard the Canyon Princess; a hosted beer and wine bar; flowers for the bridal party; an official to perform the ceremony; 20 rooms for their family and friends in attendance, a bridal suite for the winning couple and Lakeview rooms for the parents of the bride and groom. The luxurious, 96-foot Canyon Princess features richly appointed climate controlled cherry wood salons, a curved grand staircase and large open-air decks.
