Sculpted by wind and water, spanning 275 feet at a height of 290 feet, Rainbow Bridge is quite likely the most photographed geological wonder in the American West. Archeologists believe Native Americans camped here nearly 2,000 years ago. Newspaper articles, a feature in National Geographic, along with visits by President Theodore Roosevelt and western writer Zane Grey helped bring prominence and national monument status to Rainbow Bridge in 1909.

Quite likely the most photographed geological wonder in the American West, Rainbow Bridge is a must-see during your Lake Powell visit. The Half Day Cruise is approximately five hours; the All Day Cruise is approximately seven hours and includes a trip to one or more side canyons and a stop at Dangling Rope Marina. A box lunch is included on All Day Tours only. You will enjoy the wonderful rock formations, beautiful painted walls and travel through Forbidding Canyon on your way to Rainbow Bridge.

The experienced Scenic Cruise Adventures crew will also give you an interpretive tour along your journey! Due to the current projected lake levels, a walk/hike (1 mile each way) is required both to and from Rainbow Bridge for optimum viewing (total walking distance = 2 miles). We suggest you wear tennis shoes or hiking shoes for the trail. NPS entry fees are not included in tour prices.
